As a composer or publisher registering your music through UniteSync, you will be eligible to receive publishing royalties according to society's distribution schedules. While these schedules can vary from society to society, the standard society schedule usually operates every quarter. Therefore, after the end of each calendar quarter, UniteSync receives, processes, and pays out royalties to its artists within 30 days of the quarter's end. Here is a breakdown of the quarterly schedule and the corresponding payout dates:
Q1 (January – March): Payout will occur in early May
Q2 (April – June): Payout will occur in early August
Q3 (July – September): Payout will occur in early November
Q4 (October – December): Payout will occur in early February of the following year
It is important to note that it may take approximately 6-9 months to receive your first royalty payment; for foreign societies, it could take upwards of 12-18 months. Although this timeline may seem lengthy, it is standard for any publisher to register your songs in a global society. It takes time, and your writer and song information are processed before payments are made. At UniteSync, our royalty department works diligently to process payments quickly.
